Sequence of events that led to this: 1. Car rental did not have guaranteed car or others in same class. 2. Other car rental companies have nothing available besides Mini Vans or Hummers (not kidding). 3. We decide to do without a car but still need a ride to Capitol Hill. 4. Shuttle ride for two: $26; Taxi ride: $36; Limo ride: $40. You do the math.
