Anne in Paris.
I’m finally getting around to puting up the pictures. Yes, I know it’s been like four months but it’s taking forever because of the insane number of images and the required processing that comes with it.
Anyways, check the first round in the Paris in June, pt. I gallery and send me any comments / corrections you deem necessary. The captions are a bit weak in places so I’ll be working on them as I get new ideas and find the time.
A million thanks to the uber-cool Thor who did the slide scanning while I was frolicking about in between continents.
Just about everything from this year is up (with a couple of minor exceptions) on the new photo galleries. Next in the queue is to get all photos from last year’s trip to Europe ready to go and post them up (we’re talking 27 rolls of film, people.. ouch!). I’ll then move the stuff from the old galleries over and kill those pages.
The script seems to be behaving ok and the formatting looks good under Mozilla, IE and the Tungsten’s web browser. I’ll probably also move the full images off my site to allow for faster access as soon as I announce it to everyone.
Unfortunately I’m heading out of town for work this week - and potentially next week as well - so that’s going to slow things down.
I’ve got the preliminary version of the new photo galleries up and running. These are dynamically generated using PHP and a MySQL database and, to the joy of many, they’re javascript-free. I should be porting the old galleries soon and posting a boatload of pictures as I find the time.
As always, comments and suggestions are welcomed.
Work and other things have been keeping me busy so I have not been able to finish going through the hordes of images I’ve captured this year. Honestly, it’s been crazy - I haven’t even been able to send in the film from Paris! But, hey, at least I have the images from the elph including the nice group shot shown here.
I’ve also started sorting through the Boston / Mont Tremblant stuff from March, and New Orleans, Winter Haven / Orlando and St. Augustine from this summer. I’m so behind I haven’t even looked at the stuff from last summer’s Europe trip.
Ugh. Kevin is going to kill me.
All external functions of Digressed.net should be up and running. There are a few tweaks here and there that are needed but those will have to wait.
Internally, however, it’s a whole different story: Life support systems are at 40%; Sensors-module is down; Impulse-drive is undergoing repairs. At least the janitorial-system seems to be holding up.
Most of that can wait.. I’m going to Paris in less than a week and, do I have a hotel room booked? No. Of course not.
Well, our net-gateway machine that is named espresso, that is. We’ve upgraded the studio with a used G4 yet we’re wanting to keep a constant number of computers per capita at The Play Room so the good old PII-200Mhz 64MB 20GB that’s been serving my domains for almost three years will be decommissioned in the next few days (expect some down time on this and the rest of my sites).
If you’re wondering what that means, this used to be hosted under a domain that I felt no longer held its character. Please report any links that appear broken. Thanks.
