Changes
Big changes are coming to the site as I just don’t have the time required to keep the site going the way I originally intended. I’m too swamped with interests and the end result is it hinders my ability to do any of them properly. Thus, I’m cutting back and focusing on those I enjoy the most.
Aside from that, things are going pretty well. I finally sold the house – thus lifting a huge weight off my shoulders – and moved to a small apartment down by the wall. Yes, I still have the condo but I have an awesome tenant and I’d rather not ruffle any feathers. Plus we love the location as we are even closer to campus. Speaking off, I also sold my car (but most of you probably knew that already).
Lastly, five days after getting back from Paris – that would be April 13th, if you’re curious – Carrie and I got married. We didn’t tell any of our friends or family as we were expecting to be as swamped as we ended up being the coming month. The fact is we tried to do it in France but things are a little complicated when you need a reissued copy of your birth certificate that is less than three months old and you happen to have been born in a place like Venezuela. Needless to say, we aborted the plans, scheduled an appointment for the license for the day after we got back (Thursday April 9th – my brother’s birthday, coincidentally) and then did the ceremony on Monday after waiting the required three days.
We finally broke the news to the families this past weekend and they all took it pretty well. Hopefully everyone else will do the same. Think of it this way: now you don’t have to bother with expensive travel and gifts (we’ve been getting rid of stuff like crazy anyways so the last thing we needed was even more stuff, believe us!). In fact, the gift we’d like from everyone is a picture trying to recreate your reaction to the news. If you’re wondering, well, Carrie and I enjoyed my family’s reaction so much we took a picture of my brothers and dad recreating it and now we’d like to build a small collection with everyone’s.
I’ll be posting that here in the next few days. Right now, I gotta post a little update to the facebook and head to my gate.
Au revoir.

Congratulations! I had no idea until we were iin Atlanta for Jess’ graduation…someone casually mentioned “Carrie got married” and my jaw dropped, of course I said when etc and Janet said “If you would read your e-mail….” which I’d been in my e-mail; but, did not see anything…then today when I opened it up…”the surprise” was a picture of some plant…took me a few minutes to figure out where the pointer was for the next screen. Good Picture and welcome to the family Ed.
